Mark
Monroe,
a now hugely popular UK South London DJ, began his career at the age of
17 in the Dog & Fox, Wimbledon, followed by slots in Copas & Bromptons
(Earls Court).
Quickly moving on to establish himself as one of the most sought after
London DJs Mark was wowing packed audiences at The Fridge in Brixton (Love
Muscle), Gay Pride (4 times), Ibiza (Manumission), Germany (Colors),
Orange (London), Turnmills (London), Love Muscle Tour (Manchester,
Blackpool, Scotland, Leeds, Liverpool & Newcastle), Concorde (Brighton)
guest slot for Pride Hard House, Henry Africa (Kensington), Fridge Cafe,
and also various venues throughout Paris & Italy.
Other credits include Heaven (main slot Saturdays) and an incredible
long residency-run twice weekly and then once weekly at the ever popular
Two Brewers in Clapham, London.
Other residencies include Substation,
(Brixton) (Mondays) and guest appearances at the new Slush 69's
Saturday early evening slot at Pitcher & Piano, in London's West End (Soho).
Mark's current style is best described as UPLIFTING, FUNKY HOUSE, but also
spins HIGH ENERGY, ACID HOUSE, TRANCE & HARD HOUSE and says he was inspired a lot
by Debbie Harry who he also met and had dinner with in early 80's.
What makes Mark hugely popular wherever he goes is his feel for his
audience, his charisma and approachable nature and most of all his knack
of ripping up the dance floor with his incredible 'live and on-the-spot'
mixing techniques. A selection of rave reviews can
